Yeah, what'd I miss? I left for a few hours. He's wrong about slope in golf. He might very be exactly right not needing a factor like that in disc golf, but I'm more responding to his statements about golf, or trying to, anyway.

I did get to learn about discgolfunited.com. I'd seen references to it previously. I am curious too how people handicap themselves in leagues and whatnot. More investigation necessary...

Golf's handicapping system isn't perfect, but it's one of the best out there and it's nowhere near as lousy as Chuck makes it out to be.

Uhhh, I think we've participated in some other conversations together, but it's the first time I recall actively engaging with him in a discussion. I do think I've disagreed with him a time or two - quickly - in the past about his views on golf.

Thanks. That begs the question: how do people bet against each other playing disc golf when they're not close to the same skill level? Or does it just not happen? Or do people resort to coming up with their own sorts of handicapping methods?

I will usually give someone x amount of strokes. Completely arbitrary, wish there was something better. Yeah dgu never gets used.
