I live in Denver, NC which is around huntersville I am pretty new to the game and was wondering if there are any courses around ... I know of a few but looking for more options

Creekside Park here in Archdale is a hidden gem here in the Triad (Greensboro/Winston-Salem/High Point).

That course sucked at first but the folks over there polished it into a pretty decent course indeed.

*leighfarm (dur/ch) - only played it once, back when they were just installing baskets, it was very rough then, haven't played it since.

Leigh Farm is a sterling example of what you get when you allow a sub-830 rated player and a sub-930 rated player to design a course.

What's really sad is that Durham Parks and Rec killed the Forest Hills course proposal, which had the backing of the Bull City Disc Golf Club and the Forest Hills Homeowners Association, and diverted the money that was allocated for it to Leigh Farm, which BCDGC opposed.

Leigh Farms is such a bad course.

Leigh Farm is one of my favorites. It can be hard to navigate, though, if you're new there. And the scrubby growth in the fields and on the hills this time of year will sure swallow a disc.

If Leigh Farm was managed and not 3 courses horribly overlapping each other it would be okay.

I'm going to be in Black Mountain later this week - what's the rundown on Richmond Hill? It seemed to be the only legitimate course in the area. I have the afternoon on Thursday to play if anyone else is around.

I'm gonna say just shoot over the border to Va-Du-Mar in Boiling Springs SC (right off I-26).

BTW - any chance you'll be down in Greenville/Clemson area for Thanksgiving?
