With all discs the inner rim has to have a draft angle. otherwise it will not come out of the mold. Most discs have about a 3° draft angle. discs like the regular Avenger have closer to 1°. the "plus" molds and earlier Lat molds have closer to 15°. and yes they do mold better from a manufacturing standpoint.

I might pick up two sets. One for me, one for BIL as a Christmas gift.

Normal. They are from the same run, so I figure I'd save $20 since they are for throwing.

Just saw these, interesting to hear what they fly like? Someones got to have some in hand from the distributors? Anyone? Are the really slanted rims like River slanted?

I'll probably end up throwing mine too. :) Or maybe I'll wait for them to come out in the Fusion plastic (Gold Line).

Just got me a blue 170g Escape I'm excited to try out! Too bad it's a bday/Xmas present for a friend... :P Anyways, I noticed that the disc itself says a glide rating of 6, while the disc description says a rating of 5. Not that flight ratings are a huge deal, but anyone know if 6 is the official rating?

Mine will be in tomorrow. Hopefully I'll get to try them out after work. I played a lot this weekend, so we'll see if I get a chance to.

George Smith had a bag full of DD/L64 at league this weekend, he said that the Fugitive was the disc he'd probably like the least. He said that part of it might have been the super slick lucid plastic and he wasn't impressed with how slick that mold felt in that plastic. I do know that he was going to keep throwing them and get some fusion or classic plastic Fugitives.

He had overall good impressions of the other 3, especially the escape, and he likened the trespass to a really good destroyer. I got to fondle a judge a little bit in the classic soft plastic, and it's not nearly as floppy as what people have been saying. Feels a lot like soft x plastic. If I threw a big beaded putter, it would be the judge since it's profile feels a little less bulky in my hand.

Trespass- very destroyer-esque, like early runs. Some turn with a decent fade. Fast long and glidey. Tossed 420-450

Escape- very valk-esque. More tun than trespass and very late fade. Very good glide and sneaky long. Tossed 380-410

Fugitive- very domey esp comet-esque with more speed and not quite the glide. Pretty damn straight, slight turn slight fade. Tossed 320-340

Judge- wizard/classic roc baby. Pretty straight, little bit of turn and small fade. Pretty good glide when thrown, but loses it quick with little spin. Plastic isn't floppy in the least bit. Like soft X or SS gateway. Tossed 300-310. Dropped off fast and hard on putts. Kinda weird, but I'm used to wizards.

I got all opaque stuff and its really grippy and not real stiff. Overall I'm pleased. Really looking forward to a stiff judge.

Does the Judge feel more like a Wizard or Rhyno or BB Aviar?

A beaded Mercy or Pure sounds delicious.

I'd agree with that. Very Wizard-like feel.

Side by side my Wizards are a TEENY bit taller and the bottom nose angle is a touch steeper on the Judge and a bit less rounded, but they're VERY close to one another.
