I played the Ridge, a tight short wooded course, at Bud Hill and the Rival worked well. The stiff plastic makes for easy clean flick releases. The fade is more TL than TB but the HSS is what I like. I normally bag eagles, which fade harder as they slow. My rival has a nice sweeping fade, hitting lines like a faster roc. I'm not sold on the slightly larger diameter but it feels good to me.

I've heard that they beat in losing LSS first, anyone noticing that?

I've read over there that the white and white-peach are a little more domey and a tick more stable. There's also talk that the later runs will be less stiff. My light blue in stiff as a board, has a hair of turn, and flat.

I bought a light blue 173.5g from lion. Stiff and flat. From minimal field work, they have a tiny bit of turn and then the fade seems like a slight dump (ungraceful)? I was throwing 350ish. Definitely need more throwing...and maybe picking up a white or peach one for a little more hss?

I really want to like this disc esp. with the patriot coming out. I think I'm just too settled in with TB's.

I bought a third rival at the course today and ordered a fourth from Lion just now. After today's round I took a few throws just before dark. I hammered two flicks out to 250' on a 6' high line and the rival was very stable straight with less than 20' fade. I didn't get a good snap on the third, my bad form, and it barely passed 200'. On the return 200' I had a hyzer hit the basket but didn't leave a mark . At 250' by first hyzer saled 10' over the basket ending 30' left of the basket. My second hzyer from 252', splash!

They're stiff but have decent grip. I've played on days with the windchill in the 20s without any grip issues... eagles are out, for now.

Had a 10-15 mph headwind today and on a 300' low line and my Rival turned and landed flat 30' right of my target line. Legacy flat and stiff light blue 1st run rival = TL/EL

dgdave said the white ones have more turn and less fade. Lion said the peachy ones had a little more dome and were more stable. I wanna overstable one

Mine fits right between my new eagle-X and beat eagle-x but gets the most work. IMO, its not a 10mph+ headwind disc without a fair amount of hyzer and the stiff plastic is bad for rickochets but good for skips.

It's a versatile mold? I'm assuming so since it is between a new and beat EX. How far you pushing them out to?

I have 3 bagged. 2 are like 11x KC Pro Teebirds and one like a TB. The other 3 backups fly like the 11x TBs

Dave, what are these doing that your PDs aren't? How far are you tossing them?

I'll admit, Legacy is starting to intrigue me. I'm the type of person who likes to know what they are getting themselves into before they buy something.

I can range them better and are more comfortable in my hand. They also come in pennacle plastic, which is a huge plus. They are similar to PDs though
