So the question is which type of disc would you use for shots:
275'-300'?
300'-330'?
330'-370'?
370'-400?
I switch the class of discs depending on the hole and circumstances like the wind. How fast and what angle the disc needs to land skip or not, danger of tree hits and if there is minimal bouncing distance etc. I need a run up for flat land no wind 275' putter drive so if there is no room or the ground is rough the chances of going to a mid rise dramatically. Even more so in the wind. Those numbers are high for people that don't throw as far as you do because the majority don't reach 275' with putters.
300' is a mid shot normally for me but on rare occasions i might pound out a putter there and if it is a stand still a distance driver. 330' is not consistent mid distance for me even on a good day when warmed up at least if it is not a Coyote. Seeing as my rare max with a Comet is 330' and the rest of the mids are shorter save for a few optimal Buzz shots in field practice i better go with fairways often times. Do i? Err nope unless it is tight enough or windy enough to make me doubt myself or the flip of the Coyote.
370' is too close to my record with a run up with FWs to be consistent so it is driver territory for me. Beast is a long FW so it's a natural fit.
I've been known to throw the Beast even on holes that are 400' or more. Even though some flip seems to happen usually beyond 400'. I cannot say if it is the dis or wrist roll punching at full power. Since i'm not consistent at that power i do use max D drivers often from about 380' and up if the fade is not a problem. Because i'm not terribly athletic and work leaves me stiff and tired most of the time so i am rarely 100 % when playing and need compensation. Damn Viagra and ole age

Flat shots need running on the center line of the tee and planting each step on the center line. Anhyzer needs running from rear right to front left with the plant step hitting the ground to the left of the line you're running on. Hyzer is the mirror of that.
