That's the chart most people here reference, its maintained by Blake T. If you look at it you'll see why we're hesitant to give you much more stable than a Flick. There are things more stable, but not in that distance/speed range.

XXX, Xtreme, flat top Firebird.

And fix your form, if you're flipping a max weight Z Flick either you're the strongest thrower ever, or you're form is jacked. Big Jerm threw butter smooth flicks with Surges and X Nukes- and he throws pretty far.

It's my favorite disc that I currently own by far. I can nail almost and shot from 250-350'. But when I'm going for a 400' drive or more, I have a hard time keeping it from turning left on me without hyzering it. It's kind of a nit picky issue, but there are enough distance shots that I would prefer something more stable.

Very helpful! Thank you.

The Nuke/Nuke OS is rated as a longer distance/faster disc than the Flick. That's why I was wondering if it was worth a shot.

Not sure, it's the only Discraft disc I've ever used. But I have owned two of them and I will say that the more recently purchase one seems far less stable than the one I bought 6-8 months ago and lost. It's actually less stable than the other was after being used for 60-70% of my drives for half a year.

I should post a vid of me throwing a flick. The unintentional comedy might be worth it.

Gladly, I'm actually searching for someone with a camera capable of 50-60 FPS right now to work on my form some. I was going to post that within the next week or so for critiquing. Currently can't afford the D3200 that I want. :(

Screw that, if you're throwing a flick 400, then post a vid of you throwing a blizz boss, or a pro destroyer, or another disc that was made to actually go far. You should be easily throwing them about 550'.

For the ones asking for a video, I took one earlier. I have to edit the clips together, but I recorded two shots. They were done with a headwind at 45 degrees (12-15 mph sustained), left to right from my perspective. First throw went 354' and the second went 360' exactly. Both were measured with one of those wheel things (too lazy to look up the name right now). A little short but I had already played a round earlier today and the headwind was causing quite a bit of lift leading to an early stall. Will be editing and posting the HD video to YouTube tomorrow. For now, I have to go to sleep before work in a few hours.

And yes, I have hell with my regular boss flipping under power. I prefer to use it for a long, sweeping anhyzer FH shot.

The spirit is a good choice, but I would recommend one of the new 12x firebirds that are flat and stiff. the Nuke OS would be another good choice. In order to get the maximum distance you want you have you have to learn how to throw on a hyzer line and let the shot flip up and turn over a little. When throwing flat I have the same problem that you do with my max distance forehand. I actually like throwing a Legacy Rampage for my max distance forehand, that is even with a little hyzer. You should give a Pinnacle Rampage a try.
