Too minimal of a bag, suggestions

Postby jtowneagle » Mon May 27, 2013 8:04 am

I took two years off from playing, I learned a lesson, don't store your discs with college text books especially if they shuffle up. I am building a bag and trying new things. I throw my putters to 300 midranges to 340 and controll drivers up to 400. I don't know why but my distance drives are supper inconsistent to 450

Putters
170 s voodoo x 3 - only putting
174 vibram ridge - driving putter

Midrange
178 glow z buzzz
178 opto fuse

Control driver
174 champion eagle (newish) - line shaping, hyzers
172 champy star eagle (seasoned by thumbers) turnovers, hyzer flips and rollers
173 champion firebird

Distance driver
175 echo star destroyer (lightly seasoned)

You throw way farther than me so all of this advice is second-hand, but:

Distance driver: If your Destroyers are inconsistent, have you tried something slower and narrower-rimmed like a PD or Orion LF?

Do you ever feel like you are missing a midrange that is more stable than a Buzzz, or do you power down on the Firebird for those shots?

Do you thrown BH, FH, or both? How do you use your thumbers - approaches, distance?

I don't really see anything wrong with your bag.

Bosses and non low PLH non flat Nukes should be more HSS and longer than most Destroyers. Some Destros start out good regarding resistance against flipping. PD OLF and Beast are good for consistency better than the Destro with C PDs and SOLFs and QOLFs and the Beast at your power is a nice hyzer flip to flat disc or flat to anny flipper at full power and straight at 80 % power.

If you think you need something in between the Ridge and the Firebird that fades significantly a mid like the Gator (midrange bead in most Champs and not in most Stars) or the Jokeri/Breaker (long for well finishing putter) or ESP Zone (thin fast OS driving putter with a harsh harsh fade and as long as the Gator).
Flat shots need running on the center line of the tee and planting each step on the center line. Anhyzer needs running from rear right to front left with the plant step hitting the ground to the left of the line you're running on. Hyzer is the mirror of that.
