Seems quite similar to another company's technology. Discuss…

If Innova has purchased two shot injection molding machines and follow their normal way of filling the shelves with various models we could see some really nice discs in the long run. I'm surprised how fast Innova adopted overmolding because MVP isn't that big are they? Or is that countering the other companies that have popped up or one upping Discraft and the smaller older companies?
Flat shots need running on the center line of the tee and planting each step on the center line. Anhyzer needs running from rear right to front left with the plant step hitting the ground to the left of the line you're running on. Hyzer is the mirror of that.

Interestingly enough Innova has the whole rim made of a different plastic than the flight plate. This should give way better grip than the way MVP does it. I wonder if a good hit can pop out the plate tho...

I throw pretty much only MPVs as Putters and Mids (Except for a couple of Zones that I got a couple of days ago, they will probably NEVER leave the bag again :D ). I like the owners too, so I don't like to see MVP getting competition, but that's the way it is.

Problem with MVP is, that they are not that big of a company and can't put as much effort in product development and everything like bigger companies. I love their discs, especially the Axis and Anode, but nowadays you won't survive unless you move forward. And that's what MVP is not doing. They need a grippier flight plate plastic for when it's wet and maybe some different rim colors. They have had enough time to try and use different plastic, and a different rim color should be really easy unless the color batch is total crap. Innova has a colored rim and I would assume also a grippier plastic....If the disc(s) have equally nice flight characteristics as the MVPs, you don't have to be too clever to know who is winning....

This. What Innova is doing looks very similar to Quest/RIP, and only visually similar to MVP's. Check out this part:

Nothing speaks high quality like a rivet in the grip zone.

That's probably how they got around MVP's pending patent. Wouldn't this cut down on the consistency problems related to PLH?

I'll prolly pick one up, used of course. I agree with Dave, they are prettier and that often is what sells first. I already throw the Buzzz so this disc has a very tough row to hoe to make my bag. I think the inner rim might make for cleaner releases than MVP's curved early release design if that rivet doesn't slice a finger :P

I need another mid-range like I need a hole in the head, but do you think there's any chance that rivet thing might give a grip/pop/spin advantage? Namely, by tucking the tip of the rip finger in behind it? I wonder. One, or two, throws would tell the story, I think.

When are they scheduled to hit store shelves? I may try one eventually. Building a house sure puts a damper on, well everything.
