hard to grip star plastic

Postby aerohusker » Sun Aug 04, 2013 8:46 pm

I got a couple new innova star plastic drivers that are really hard to grip. I was wondering short of replacing them, has anybody ever lightly scuffed the top with a green scotchbrite pad?

thanks

It probably won't help...though I've never done it.

What's the weather like there? And is your skin dry? Seems odd that Star lacks grip. Not that it's the grippiest anyway.

Rub a little acetone on it

I've done the Scotchbrite....doesn't work. In fact I think it made it feel slicker in the long run.

^This... I used a Sharpie plus acetone to change the color of a wraith that had faded to a dull ugly color. The color turned out great, but the grip was even better. It had more grip than any disc I have touched and maintained a strong grip even when wet. Then I threw it into the thickest brush you can imagine, never to be seen again.
