picked one of these up out of a used bin. it is 166 and the olive green. i really like this disc I can see where the teebird comparison come from. it reminds me of the x plastic tracker when they a brand new. on the innova scale i would say 8/4/-1/2.5 on joes chart i would say 4.5/-.5/2.5/4. really like this disc with my fh for tunnel shot out to about 320' more distance then that and it needs more height for me.

Love seeing people putting it in 8. 8 is such a neglected "speed".

I went to the an ace race over the weekend. 150 people registered at a 9 hole course. The small park was also hosting soccer matches on one end and some kind of Bulgarian gathering at the other (no joke). So we got our shwag and dipped out, and went elsewhere.

For a thrower who hovers a little above the 300' mark, I'd say it's stable and reminds me of a teebird, although the teebird has more forward-like fade. It's just a straight speed 7-8 disc with predictable fade. I can put it on some long annhyzer shots and it'll always come back at the end. Not sure about the Ti plastic, though. For some reason it bugs me, I'd like to see this disc in Elite Z.

It's a disc Discraft has been missing in it's line-up for the longest time. A nice stable fairway driver that everyone can put to use. Discraft Teebird (almost).
I would like your X-Wasps, please.

How is it different than a Stalker. I've not thrown either BTW.

faster with more fade then a stalker. If a stalker is a faster buzz the ar13 is a faster wasp.

This is quite simply an excellent disc. The heavier one (I think we were limited to 166 as the heaviest weight) is a really nice straight driver, you can rip it and it'll just go straight with very nice glide. The 163 had a bit of turn to it, but still a very excellent disc, actually the one I used in the race proper, and it netted me one ace.

Along with the Comet this is easily my favorite DC disc.

Do they ever keep the Ace Race discs in production? Or are they one run and done?

Depends on how well it's received really. Many (if not most) Ace Race discs enter regular production. Here's a list of Ace Race discs and what names they were released under, from the official Ace Race site:

2003: Breeze
2004: Glide
2005: Slipstream
2006: Meteor
2007: Impact
2008: Nebula
2009: Focus
2010: Hornet
2011: Zeppelin
2012: Zombee

Out of those the Glide, Meteor, Impact, Focus, Hornet and Zombee are still in production, Breeze and Slipstream are OOP, and at least Zeppelin never entered production (looks like the Nebula might have been only released in limited runs), which is a shame because I really liked it. It flew well, but I can understand that it wouldn't have sold all that well, being such a specialty disc.
