square putting style and rules question

Postby mufan » Sun Sep 15, 2013 8:52 pm

hi,
I changed my putting style to the one where you face the goal. Don't know the name of the style but you essentially square your body to the catcher. Anyway, what is the rules for putting this way. Do you put one foot behind the marker or strattle the marker? my concern is that if I put one foot behind the marker then square off with the other foot then it might be slightly in front of the foot behind the marker.....and be a violation of some sort.

thanks,
mufan

That's called straddle putting. You're right about foot positioning. One foot must be directly behind your previous shot/mini no more than 30cm behind it and the other can be no closer to the basket than the one behind your lie.
