How are you liking the Ghosts? You should try a pinnacle. Those are my favorites by a good bit (though I haven't ever gotten my hands on a gravity)

The Gravity are like the old Rancho BBs. A bit softer.

How do the Pinnacle fly? I looked at getting one, but all they had were super clear and I have no desire to throw that. The Icon just isn't for me.

What about Protege? How are they?

Super straight to slightly overstable and that's pretty much thrown hard or powered down. Pretty consistent across all power levels.

Protege are fricken Sweet, but aren't in production yet. Rico hasn't been happy with the blends they've tested yet. They start like a KC roc then beat in slow like a kc roc.

Also, the Gauge is awesome. I've only thrown the 175ish pinks. It's a smoother flight and just Damn workable. It's like a seasoned up roc or a coyote. I throw them more than my ghosts now.

Interesting...

I've just recently went back to Rocs after experimenting with Buzzz's and oh how i missed thee. The Rocs are just so much better.

So you say the Ghost's are pretty sweet for all plastics?

I like certain icons, but some feel funny to me. I only carry 1 pinnacle now. I mainly use Gauges and suspects.

I would have protégé in there if they were easier to come by

So I should probably just stick to my Rocs then?

They are of the older 11x and earlier run 12x rocs. And my Star San Marino Roc which is a little different. Roc3 is just too dang sweet man. Not sure of you have thrown one,but wow is all I gotta say.

So, I'm trying the Clutch for driving as well now. So far, so good. Dave, should I carry an Icon and a Protege to start? Right now, I've just got the Protege in there.
--

2x 174g Excel Clutches - Putting

1x 175 Protege Clutch - Messing around with for shot drives and approaches

2x 179g Excel Ghost - Straight shots, hyzer flips, anhyzers
1x 179g Gravity Ghost - Basically most of my midrange shots
1x 175g Opto XXX - forhand rollers, spikes, short skips, wind, etc

1x 174g Icon Patriot - Rollers, low power shots
1x 173g Pinnacle Patriot - Most fairway drives
1x 172g Pinnacle Rival - Hyzers, straight shots with fade, wind

1x 175g P PD - Big, high distance lines with a tiny flex. It's new, but once it breaks in, it's huge on power anhyzer shots.
1x 175g S PD - yellow champy-star, my money one. It's pretty beat up. Power straight shots, hyzers, shallow hyzer flips, some flex shots, and some anhyzers
1x 172g S PD - new soft yellow run, and it's flat. flex shots, hyzers, power straight shots
1x 175g C PD - CFR run, the really overstable ones. Wind, hyzers, etc.

1x 171g Z Nuke - Used, awesome distance
1x 172g Z Nuke - New, awesome distance
1x 172g Quantum Quasar - overstable distance stuff

I would add an icon for a more stable finish. Blue and red ones are the most stable. I use protégé for the majority of my throws, but the icon is really nice to have

I just got in some Legend Gauges and they feel amazing! I can't wait to try them out. The Gauge has become my most used disc

What does it fly like?

I have some legend Rivals in my basement that I haven't checked out much. That's the only legend disc I have.

The 175 pink icons are like a 2 year old roc, but feel like a buzzz/coyote in the hand. It really holds the angle you put on it. Ever so slightly understable, but just when you really lay on it.

I haven't thrown the legends yet

So, I played a quick round of 13 or so holes at Rosedale down under with an Icon and Protege putter for driving, and an Excel for putting. I shot -8. I love these things, seriously.

The Icon doesn't have the same glide, but I feel like I can mash on it more like a Wizard (or even an Ion) while having it work lines.
