DGA Tsunami

Can anyone comment on this disc? I found one at my local course with no name or number. What would you guys compare it to?

Nice find there, I personally use it for my sidearm shots. I myself find it to be a quite predicable flyer, with a gentle fade. As for what to compare it to, not quite sure....maybe a slower Flash?

its the original mold predator. A little less stable than the new ones(pred).

Flies between a pred and an avenger. alittle longer than a Z avenger though.

It is the original Pred mold. It basicly is the bottom of the Pred with the dome of the Avenger. It flies inbetween them as well. You could say that it is an Avenger that can handle the wind a bit better

when new the heavy ones are quite overstable for most throwers, but they break in to be very straight with predictable fade....it just takes a long time (dga plastic is pretty much like star)

You throw sidearm right? Just throw it. You'll love it. It'll flip into a strong wind if I sidearm it because my FH technique is still not where I'd like it to be. It's my backhand wind disc, though. I've throw it into 40+ MPH winds and the worst it did was track right a bit. Sometimes you've just got to have that 150' lawn dart into the wind. The Tsunami is not for that. If you still want to get some distance into the wind, the tsunami will do that for you.

I just added these into my bag. I love them. It has been a while since a disc has impressed me, but this one has.

It reminds me of a longer and faster T-bird. It always fades at the end, and thrown with less power it works great for even sharp hyser shots. It is a beast into a headwind as well. Also the plastic is nice, I am interested to see how it flies when totally broken in. I'm suprised more people aren't tossing these with all the pred love around here.

Pick up some of the speckled plastic ones...they are uber durable.

They're also a good chunk more overstable

I touch...but I don't dig that DGA proline plastic when it gets scuffed up on rocks.

I've been tossing one for a couple of years now. Still haven't totally broken one in but I really dig my 164-166 that has some wear. Can lay on this thing and still get a nice fade at the end. Use heavier ones for the wind. Will also use these for overhand and some forehand shots. Great disc in my opinion.

Like everyone says it's a predator mold. A more predictable and faster X Predator, longer than a teebird, but nearly the same predictability.

I was throwing one for a while, but it was too similar to my Preds and Avengers to warrant staying in the bag. But I did recently pick one up again and have enjoyed tossing it. Same thing though, almost too similar to the Pred/Avenger combo.

Anybody carry both (all three)? What are you using the Tsunami for that the Pred won't do?

I haven't thrown an Avenger (although I just ordered one), but I use a Tsunami instead of a Predator because I'm able to get a little more distance out of it. I also carry a Firebird -- it doesn't get much distance, but it's MUCH more comfortable for throwing tomahawks.
