So... you can only get 5 or 6? :)
15 discs is too many, a thousand is not enough....

You look like you might have seen one up close.

I was thinking more like 10 or 11. I don't really NEED to make my house or car payment this month.

I bougth a yellow 171 Star Destroyer today. This is not a disc for low snap players. Nor for the days when you're not as sharp as at your best. Or you'll get a disc that has fewer applications that's adviseable. I didn't throw annies today.

I don't know how this disc changes once it wears in but as new it's too overstable for me for maximum distance low line drives. It certainly does not turn over when thrown flat unlike my broken in 166 Star Wraith. This disc hooks earlier and harder than my Wraith. To me the Destroyer doesn't seem as fast as the Wraith in lower weigth. Go figure. Even more weird is that this disc isn't any harder to grip than my Wraith. Again my experiences seem to differ from most of you. Trust me I don't wanna be mr. naysayer and controversial. I'd love to have big snap with the capability of throwing high with nose down :-) The thing I agree with the majority is that this disc is very critical of nose angle.

To me the Destroyer feels like my CFR Teerex Xs. I've got 168 and 171 IIRC. When I get a good low throw I get about the same distance and flight line as with the Teerex Xs but with more skip. This is the skippiest disc I've ever seen. High and a lot to the left. Maybe a quarter more than my Wraith.

Yeah, my domey star is not very overstable at all, especially in the high speed portion of its flight. It will fade quite a bit if it doesnt get up to cruise speed, or it stalls due to nose up.

For me the destroyer works best when thrown hard anhyzer. If you get it right it will ride that flight for a while before fading at the end. It may not seem fast to you, but go out in a field and throw a wraith and then a destroyer and I'm guessing you'll notice a difference, especially in a headwind. I'm not saying a wraith won't fly as far as a destroyer, but it sure needs more room to move.

Just thought I would let you guys know that www.discgolfvalues.com has x-out star destroyers for $10.95. Every x-out I've bought from them was a visual blemish but the discs themselves were awesome.

I don't have a comparison because I bougth the last disc from the importer out this first batch that came to Finland. It seems flat for the most part. It is flatter than my CFR Teerex X.

That's the line I use if I wanna get some more D out of my Teerex X.

Today was day two of throwing with jello feet and hips. Darn I need to stay healthy. "#%"#¤%#¤& flu. On top of the serious shi... that I've suffered from. Both days had field practice. Yesterday was only field practice. I don't know if my eyes lie but to me it seemed that only a couple throws each day seemed to anywhere near the speed of the Wraith at 5 grams lighter weigth. Wind wasn't an issue because there wasn't a lot of it. Come to think of it the 166 is faster than the 175 Wraiths.

For me the longest low line drives with the Wraith are 20' shorter than slight s-curves that only move to the right about 10' or less before flexing. When new this flat Destroyer is impossible to throw anny by accident. At least until one finds out that knees do turn sideways also. Freaking what? At least it seemed so. I'm not excited about this because I also had ankle twisted on plant, hips collapsing to the left for unwanted bomb hyzers and left knee collapsing for sky high stallers. Groucho Marx had more stable platform for throwing with his low long steps than I did. Argh!

I didn't yet try to purposefully anny the Destroyer because I had too many unwanted ones from several reasons. I don't wanna go into that. I'm annoyed to say the least. I had calmed down but when I thought what went wrong I got mad again :-( I don't doubt at all that for controlled and when necessary for slight lateral movements the Destroyer gets longer than on straight shots and definitely more predictable on sideways motion that absolutely have to stay within small limits the Destroyer errr... Crushes the Wraith. Or insert a name of another driver :-)

By the way this is a great disc for standing still less than full power roll curves to the left.

The destroyer is definitely not a disc to use when you're not throwing your best. It will not perform unless you throw the hell out of it.
