i was wondering if someone could tell me the differences in flight between the
Rancho,Ontario,San Marino and super Rocs? i know the Ontarios are supposed to be less overstable but thats where my knowledge ends.thanks.JB

san marino = flippiest and fastest (thinnest rim). think more stable and predictable classic cobra (domey). easy to flip up from a hyzer but will ride straight and fade every time late in its flight.

ontarios = next flippiest and slowest. more stable than a shark, less than a rancho.

rancho = most stable and predictable.

super roc = different plastic rancho.

Super rocs are Racho rocs. They are made of a champ/pro blend, which tends to make them more stable than their dx/kc counterparts.

Ontartios are indeed less stable. They fly straight out of the box, and power players can turn them over out of the box. They beat into turnover discs.

San Marinos are between Ontatios and Rachos, but beat into the straightest flyers quicker, and stay there as long as a Racho.

Rachos are probably the most versatile of the 3 because of their ability to turn twice during their flight (turnover, fade back). I've only thrown broken in San Marinos, and they just fly straight.

edit: Wow, I didn't realize that Ontarios were more stable than San Marinos. In my limited experience with Sannys, I didn't feel that was the case.

san marinos are definitely flippier than ontarios.

the reason it was redesigned was to add stability.

older ontarios were a lot more stable than the new reissued ontarios.

special edition super rocs from back in the day were definitely flippier than regular rocs but more low speed overstable at the end (squirrely). the relative stability of the newer ones seems to be dependent upon year.

sounds like ill be sticking to my ranchos. although i did just get an unexpected ontario in the mail (thanks to poisonelf) maybe ill toss it in the bag fo a few rounds and see what i think

have you tried the lend a roc program? every time i play with my litttle brother or a friend who has no discs
they get a nice new rancho to use. a couple of rounds like that and voila ive got a backup for my seasoned rancho

yep. too unreliable hehe. had a few rocs get taken that way.

I have tried ontarios, star, super, kc pro, and ranchos and ranchos have got to be my favorite. Once the snow is gone I will throw a kc in my bag for an overstable roc but till then it is all ranchos.
