if you grip lock a lot do you think you should try a grip with less lock point fingers on it like the 3 or 2 finger grips??

When I griplock it isn't because of my grip. It's normally because either my timing is off (I pull through too late) or my balence is off.

garu is correct that it is usually not based upon the actual grip
most commonly it is when people start their pull early or have some body or wrist torque over on the disc. weight behind the pivot foot is another common culprit
another common problem is how the shoulders rotate open... if your shoulders stay the same height through the throw the natural tendency is to grip lock
