Our course has a big dogleg left. Should I measure the distance of the hole "as the bird fly's" - which is to say, direct and over everything? Or do I measure up to the turn and then down - like an "L" ?
I want to print the scroecards with the right info (helpful) and we will be making tee signs by next summer - so I need the right distance.
Today was good. Today was fun. Tomorrow is another one.

my vote is print it as the "disc fly's" i.e. down the fairway around the trees

unless there is an easy "over the top" path that is clearly the desired line, generally speaking it's better to measure them as 2 straight throws down the center of the fairway.

including both measurements would be nice, too. make two lines with different colors on the tee sign, then label them seperately. if it's not too much of a pain.
