Why so many putters?

The Radii are mainly used for approaches, understable duties and occasionally jump putts. The CT is for hyzer shots. The 174 Challenger is my main putter, and I've just started messing with the lighter Challenger.
I could probably do everything with one mold, and 2-3 of them, but I figure I have the room, and I throw a putter for about 65% of my shots, so I like to have choices.

The ESP Pred and the Flick kind of overlap, but I have both cause the Flick has huge skips and its better for thumbers.

And I've always heard stick to one putter.

I've got X Preds that are beat in to submission and fly just like a TeeBird. Control and moderately overstable slot.

I actually just took the Flick out and put a FLX Pred back in for a little while. That spot is really only for utility shots, trick shots and such.

I could do with one putter mold... But I'd rather not.

how do you like the Cam Todd Challenger? Do you just use it for upshots or do you use them for putts every now and then?

Also, you say you've beaten your x preds in to the point that you can use them as a control driver. Do they really lose a lot of their stability after a while? I think I'd like a seasoned x pred, I'm just now patient enough and don't throw mine enough during my rounds to beat them in. Plus I'm loving my FLX Pred for my overstable slot...

Have you tried an ESP Tracker out for the stable control driver slot? I'm really liking mine rt now.

I use the CT for overstable putter duties. Mostly drives and hyzer upshots. Occasional putts in heavy headwinds,

I have X Preds that I throw on a hyzer flip, go to flat and drop on a straight line. I am using them on shots where other guys are using a TeeBird.

I did try the ESP Tracker for a while. Too stable for what I want in a control driver. And the X Tracker beats in too quickly and gets squirrely.

I have recently switched to CT Challengers. These are my fave throwing putter I've ever used. I'm getting used to the deep feel on puts, as I have been using wizards for the past while now. I also like the regular pro D.

Only when it comes to putters! Everything else is Predator, Surge or Roc/Wasp (I still swap them back and forth a bit).

Definitely a little deeper than a Wizard. Flight characteristics are almost identical though. And I agree, CT's are a great throwing putter.

i do like your minimalist approach...i have yet to beat in any overstable discs in lower level plastic, but i have some dx firebirds on the way and hopefully will be able to do the same thing you have where some are newish for overstability and some are beat in to go straight and eventually, turn over

as for the putters, there was a time that i was carrying 3 different putter molds (2 if you count the BB Aviars and PnA's as one mold) and about 5-6 discs total...but now i do everything i used to with just 2 M Wizards....but whatever works is what you should stick with

Some recent bag changes. Seems to be working out pretty well. Still messing with the OLFs. I threw one a little when they were first introduced in Sirius plastic, but not extensively. So far so good. Teebirds were the first real disc I threw besides Wizards, just started throwing them again too.

This is probably the most minimal my bag has been in a while. StarBirds are the workhorse. Destroyer is for wide open crushes only. Roadrunners are big hyzer flips and rollers. Predator and Rocs do what Predators and Rocs do. Organic Wizard turned out to be a little too soft for my putting. I forgot how much fun it is to throw a Whitler, even if just playing catch before the round.

I've just recently put Leopards back in the bag, and I'm enjoying them again. Good for just about any line, and can really get out there on a hyzer flip line.
The Rattler comes and goes as the mood hits me. I love to throw it, but just don't seem to use it all that often. It's in for the time being.
