Throw Analysis
Shannon Duren

Drive
Shannon starts her throw with a traditional X-step. At this point she has started her momentum moving forward and her hip rotation away from the target.
Shannon continues forward with a quck cross-step and her hips and shoulders are rotated away from the target.
Shannon throws with the bent elbow technique and here she is at her maximum elbow back position. Her hips are fully closed and her shoulders are rotated with her back facing the target. Her weight is over her back foot and ready to push off into the plant/pivot and she has the disc gripped in the nose down position.
Shannon has planted her pivot foot ~45 degrees from the target and started her weight shift forward and hip rotation open. Her off arm and the disc are close to her body.
Immediately before the hit, Shannon's hips and shoulders have opened and her elbow is in the process of extending. Her weight is over her plant foot and she is well into her pivot.
Immediately after the hit, Shannon's elbow has fully extended and she continues her pivot as she enters her follow-through.
Shannon gets a strong follow-through and her body continues to rotate on her pivot foot.
Shannon steps through the pivot at the end of her follow-through.
