Posted: 2-20-06 Submitted by PETER MARTIN KAMINSKI Masking advice for dyeing discs: I wanted to add on a comment to your dyeing discs. I've used contact paper a lot to put on designs that I thought were cool, so I came up with a good method. I've found that contact paper masking is a great method, but it can go wrong and streak as you're removing the paper. If you use contact paper to mask, after the dye has finished setting, rinse it well, dry it, rinse it well again, dry it completely, and then remove the contact paper. If improperly done, you can get streaking, like on this Wraith.
