If you would like to share your dye methods, send me an e-mail and I will post it here. Posted: 2-20-06 Submitted by Cody Lee Smoother colors for dyeing discs: I have found that while using Acetone from either a home improvement store, or a beauty supply store achieves a great solid color, using 100% rubbing alcohol, a.k.a. 100% isopropyl alcohol creates a brighter color that applies smoother and has none of the grain that can form from using the acetone as it starts to evaporate. Just apply with a paint brush. The more layers you apply the brighter the dye job. This works great for dyes that would benefit from different degrees of color brightness. Back to the Main Page. |
